WAFarmers regains national voice on wool
spacer

The Western Australian Farmers Federation (Inc.) (WAFarmers) has recently become a member of Australias’ peak industry body, WoolProducers Australia (WoolProducers).

WoolProducers is the only national organisation that can speak on behalf of the mainstream wool industry including marketing, research and development and animal health whilst representing the concerns and hopes of wool growers.

Ed Rogister, WAFarmers Wool Section president rejoices, “We are delighted to be back around the table at a national level, where all the major decisions are made for the wool industry in Australia”.

Mr Rogister went on to say, “There are many Federal policy issues that WAFarmers deals with on behalf of woolgrowers and by becoming members of WoolProducers, WAFarmers ensures our WA perspective is being voiced and heard at a national level.”

WoolProducers advocates wool growers’ interests to the Federal Government and enables woolgrowers to determine policy and drive change in their industry.

WoolProducers maintains a close working relationship with Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) on behalf of their shareholders, by contributing to AWI’s programs for the benefit of growers, promoting responsible use of levy funds and ensuring good corporate governance.

“We look forward to working with WoolProducers Australia and other state farm organisations, to ensure that national policy reflects state needs,” Mr Rogister concluded.
