The largest Gleaner combine to be launched onto the market, the Class 8 A85 is not only bigger in terms of size, it also boasts a maximum 459hp C13 engine, Direct High Volume (DHV) unloading technology and increased grain tank capacity.

The A85 offers 350 bushels (12,334 L) grain tank capacity which means that unloading is less frequent so you can spend more time harvesting. Nevertheless unloading time has also been reduced with the industries quickest unloading rate. With a peak rate of 4.5 bushels per second (per ISO5687) the A85 can unload a full grain tank in less than 90 seconds.

The A85 also features the industries longest rotor and a three range hydrostatic rotor drive with constant speed function. The hydrostatic drive offers a low maintenance drive mechanism without the requirement for drive belts or right angled gearboxes. The constant speed feature ensures maximum threshing capacity is achieved in all conditions.

With the gains made in output through the advanced technology incorporated into the A85 you'd expect operation to be more complex, yet this harvester remains simple to operate and completely user friendly, especially when servicing and maintaining the harvester.

Featuring fully opening side panels, the A85 gives easy access to all points of the combine. The large open engine bay compartment allows easy un-hindered access to all maintenance points. Due to the hydrostatic drive, the A85 feature far less belts, chains and right angle drives than other brands of combines. This represents less maintenance and cheaper running costs.

The A85 has been designed to allow most routine adjustments to be done from ground level. Items that can't be reached from ground level can be reached via handy platforms which assist with access. Most greasing point can be done from ground level and are grouped in easy access banks on either side of the combine.

All these features come together to allow the A85 to deliver superior harvesting capability at a reduced operating cost, saving farmers and contractors valuable time and money in a combine that is simple and reliable to operate.
